Use the form below to join or renew your PSA membership for the 2026-2027 academic year. Your membership includes registration. After your membership is processed, you will be auto-registered for PSA 2027 in Oakland, CA within 5 - 7 business days. Membership/Conference registration is required for those who have submitted for our Call For Submissions for PSA 2027 and are planning to present.

Please note: There is one fee for membership and conference registration. If you join or submit you renewal here, please do not also register for PSA 2027. We do not want you to pay twice.

Some of your may be using university funds cover your membership and conference fees. If this is the case, do not fill out this form to renew your membership, instead, register for PSA 2027 here and your membership confirmation will be sent to you later.

Current Students (Undergraduate/Graduate) - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited PSA aims to keep membership and conference participation affordable. However, the costs to keep PSA going and hold the annual conference are rising. The PSA Council made some adjustments to fees for this year, where persons who are students or lower income faculty/other professionals pay low fees while faculty/other professionals in higher income brackets pay higher fees. In addition, the Council created a special fee for Emerita/Emeritus/Retired Sociologists.

Emerita/Emeritus/Retired - $150.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited PSA aims to keep membership and conference participation affordable. However, the costs to keep PSA going and hold the annual conference are rising. The PSA Council made some adjustments to fees for this year, where persons who are students or lower income faculty/other professionals pay low fees while faculty/other professionals in higher income brackets pay higher fees. In addition, the Council created a special fee for Emerita/Emeritus/Retired Sociologists.

Regular Membership 1 (Faculty/Professional with annual income less than $40,000) - $100.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited PSA aims to keep membership and conference participation affordable. However, the costs to keep PSA going and hold the annual conference are rising. The PSA Council made some adjustments to fees for this year, where persons who are students or lower income faculty/other professionals pay low fees while faculty/other professionals in higher income brackets pay higher fees.
