The Department of Political Science at California State University, Sacramento seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2022. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Political Science, Sociology, related field, or J.D. are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates will be considered; if ABD, candidates will be required to complete the doctoral degree by January 2023. We are specifically seeking candidates with a focus on Law and Society. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student body and a diverse community. Candidates are also required to have a strong commitment to college teaching, and an ability to teach a range of lower and upper division courses in Political Science, including Constitutional Law and Constitutional Rights and Liberties. Candidates are required to demonstrate potential for scholarly achievement; the department is open to methodological approaches.
