Assistant Professor, Sociology

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice, Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia seeks applicants for a ten-month, tenure track, faculty position. The position will be responsible for teaching a 4/4 course load during the academic year (fall/spring). Courses of instruction will include Sociology, primarily Medical Sociology, Research Methods and Statistics, and Racial Inequalities. The successful candidate must be able to successfully conduct research, publish and actively engage in service related activities. A doctorate degree in Sociology or a closely related field from an accredited university. At least two years of teaching experience at the university level. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Experience in teaching online Sociology courses at a university. A doctorate degree in Sociology or a closely related field from an accredited university. At least two years of teaching experience at the university level.
