DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF SESSION PROPOSALS WAS MAY 1, 2009.
However, if you wish to submit a session proposal after May 1:
1) Before submitting a proposal, look through the list of proposed sessions in the 2010 Call for Papers to see if a session has already been proposed on your topic or that is similar to your topic.
2) If your proposed session is not one already in the Call for Papers, you should send your proposal to the the PSA Office by email. Please indicate the following in your email: a) title of proposed session; b) session organizer or co-organizers (name and institutional affiliation); c) email addresses for contact, and d) type of proposed sessions--paper, roundtable, author meets critics; e) if you wish your proposed session to be listed n the public Call for Papers or if you are proposing an invited session where you are personally inviting the participants; and f) your status--faculty member, graduate student, or applied sociologist.
3) All session proposals must be approved by the Program Chair. You will receive a timely response about your proposal.
4) The deadline for proposals made after May 1 is August 1, 2010.
