* In 1953, the Association did not hold an annual meeting. In lie of its regular meeting it co-sponsored the annual meeting of the American Sociology Society in Berkeley, which was the first time the ASA met in the Pacific region. Because of this, the PSA bolstered its divisional meetings in the North, Central, and Southern regions in 1953. These divisional programs are listed here. The presidential address in 1953 by Stuart C Dodd was given at the 1953 meeting of the American Sociological Society in Berkeley, California.
