journal: Sociological Perspectives

Sociological Perspectives (ISSN:0731-1214) is the PSA journal. It is published four times per year, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter by the University of California Press, 2120 Berkeley Way, Berkeley CA 94720-5812. phone: 510-643-7154; fax: 510-642-9917; email. The University of California Press has set up a special home page for the journal.

The journal's purpose is to advance research, theory, scholarship, andpractice within sociology and related disciplines. Preference is given to articles that are of general interest to members of the discipline and that, as a result, advance the accumulation of knowledge about social processes. 

The current Co-Editors of Sociological Perspectives are Charles Powers and Marilyn Fernandez, Department of Sociology, Santa Clara University SocPerspectives@scu.edu  Their term as editors ends on December 31, 2011.

The Co-Editors-designate are Robert O'Brien and James Elliott, Department of Sociology, University of Oregon. The Editorial Office at Oregon opened July 1, 2011. The co-editors elect will process all new manuscripts submitted to the journal after July 1, 2011.  They will become Co-Editors on January 1, 2012.
